Last week end APIs and mashups were definitely buzzwords here in Paris since guys from Le Camping organized a very cool 24-hour hackathon at le Palais Brongniart!

We were very pleased to join this hackathon both as a guest API and a beer provider  We were also particularly impressed by the quality of the organization (cool open-space, well defined agenda, pizzas+coke+tonic breakfast, ability to hack all night long, etc) – congrats @steren! and we are not alone.

It was really cool seeing people from various companies or background brainstorming together, sharing ideas, demoing stuff, fixing bugs, networking or providing support. I recently read a cool article that pointed out that passion is enthusiasm coupled with curiosity and for sure all participants were really passionate about what they are doing.

Once again we wanted to congrat all the teams and startups – it was pretty cool to see you build real-things in this short amount of time, and the organizers and sponsors that made it possible. We had a great time, and most importantly, we really had fun participating!
