Obviously pics are really popular on Twitter these days. The company has just released a proprietary pic sharing service and announced a deep integration into the iPhone camera.

As computer vision experts we felt like we had to leverage the trend. So we’re launching Qooery.

With Qooery we’re bringing image recognition into Twitter so that content aggregation relies on pics rather than text. Meaning any object can be turned into a hashtag:

Qooery is very simple to use. You just have to tweet an object with its pic and the mention @qooery. We’ll show you the related social stream if any. And you’ll get updated each time the object gets updated.

If you also have great ideas involving image recognition on Twitter: jump in! You’ll love our very simple to use API as well as the great add-ons it comes with such as our Moodstocks/Twitter mash-up article.
